CRISPY FRIED FISH


Ingredients .....
[1] 1 lb. fish fillets.
[2] 1 c. all-purpose flour.
[3] 1/2 tsp. sugar.
[4] 1 egg, beaten.
[5] 3/4 c. cold water.
[6] 2 tbsp. cooking oil.
[7] Shortening (for deep fat frying).
Method....
Season fillets with salt. Combine flour, sugar and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Combine egg, water and oil; add to flour mixture. Beat smooth. Dip fish in batter. Fry for 5 minutes, or until golden brown...
